Art of the day:
Ah yes, spooky season nears. Morrigan has always been a favorite character. A charming succubus, the bats, the wings, and flirty sass has made her a timeless icon. Not to mention, one of my favorite shoto-clones.
Song of the day:
In the late 90’s radio was my only exposure to music and discovery. Q101 played this track, which was unlike any sound I had heard before. Siouxsie would quickly become my muse. I visited The Alley (Chicago) and found a black and white shirt with her sad and perplexed face and jazzed out 80s hair that I wear to this day. Cities In Dust is about none other than Pompeii and the terror of the volcanic eruption that lead to it’s demise. Siouxsie’s banshee howls had me dive head first into goth-rock, and (ironically) I became a bit of a “bat caver” (thanks, Morrigan).
Thought of the day:
I’m “middle aged” by some standards now and I feel like I’m just now starting to live. Motivation can sometimes whisper, or spark itself. Kindle that fire, and harness it.
